Dr. Shah is the founder and director of the UCLA Northwest Valley Women’s Heart Health Program, which strives to ensure that women embrace cardiac screening and early detection of cardiovascular disease, as well as to provide a unique female focus on the education, prevention, early detection, treatment, and management of heart disease. Dr. Shah serves on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association – Greater Los Angeles.
Dr. DiPerna is Medical Director of Dignity Health Cancer Institute of Greater Sacramento; Chief of Thoracic Surgery and Medical Director of Chest Disease for Mercy San Juan Medical Center; and Chief of Thoracic Surgery for Dignity Health Mercy Medical Group Sacramento. Dr. DiPerna is also the founder of ONCOVERSE LLC Global Center Network.
Moreland is CEO and Chief Patient Officer for Patient Engagement Advisors (PEA). He created PEA as a self-funded effort, driven from the results of a Cleveland Clinic research project that considered the impact of care process gaps created when patients are transitioned across the healthcare continuum. Dr. Wesp is Chief Health Information Officer at Valley Health System, where he leads Valley’s system-wide health information analytics initiative to ensure timely, accurate and validated clinical information and reporting. Dr. Wesp is also part of the Population Health team, focusing on the implementation of care management software, data analytics and predictive modeling. He is currently a USC Adjunct Professor at the Sol Price School of Public Policy where he teaches Masters students in the area of population health and related clinical issues.
Majid Sarrafzadeh, Ph.D. is a Distinguished UCLA Professor, Computer Science. Dr. Sarrafzadeh is a co-founder and co-director of UCLA’s center for SMART Health and a co-director of BRITE center on Minority Health Disparities. His current research focus is Embedded Computing with emphasis in healthcare. Professor Sarrafzadeh has published more than 500 papers, co-authored 5 books, and is an inventor, patent holder and company founder.
